The Presidential election is getting most of the headlines this year.

But control of the Senate is also up for grabs.

Now Chuck Schumer is feeling sick after a vulnerable Democrat made this shocking decision.

Democrats in danger of losing Montana’s Senate seat

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is clinging to a narrow 51-49 majority in the Senate heading into the 2024 Election.

And he’s facing a brutal map with Democrats playing defense in states that former President Donald Trump won in the last election.

The race in Montana could decide which party controls the Senate after the election.

U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) is the most vulnerable Senate Democrat up this election cycle.

He’s facing the toughest race of his political career in a state that Trump carried by 16 points in the 2020 Election.

Tester is being challenged by Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy, a former Navy SEAL and business owner.

The Montana Democrat is running for his fourth term after narrow wins in the 2012 and 2018 Elections.

Tester has always played the game of pretending to be a moderate to voters in Montana while voting the party line back in Washington, D.C.

Now he’s running against the left-wing record voting he accumulated in the Senate.

Jon Tester runs against himself

Donald Trump is going to cruise to victory again in Montana this fall.

Tester is going to need a significant number of Trump voters to split their ticket and pick him on their ballots to win.

That’s why he’s trying to reinvent himself to voters by claiming he supports positions that voted against in the Senate.

Tester is running campaign ads that make it appear that he cares about border security that features a shot of the border wall in the background.

“Jon Tester is working with Republicans to do whatever it takes to finally secure the border,” a Tester campaign ad said. “Tester says this is especially urgent because the opioids trafficked are direct threats to Montana. I’m Jon Tester and you’re damn right I approve this message.”

But he went on MSNBC’s Morning Joe last year and supported amnesty for illegal aliens while claiming that President Joe Biden was securing the southern border.

“I think the big issue here is we need to make sure the southern border is secure and I think the President has helped do that,” Tester said on MSNBC.

He included a shot of the border wall in his campaign commercial to subtly suggest that he supports it.

But Tester told NPR last year, “A wall from sea to shining sea is not the way to go.”

Tester also touted his work to stop a move by the Biden administration to eliminate school hunting programs.

Removing the hunting programs was made possible by the Safer Communities Act, a gun control bill he voted for in 2022.

Tester decries the influence of lobbyists and Washington, D.C. insiders but emails emerged that showed they were writing his bills for him.

A pro-Sheehy super PAC, More Jobs, Less Government, has begun running ads to remind voters of Montana of Tester’s real record in Washington, D.C.’s “Swamp.”

Jon Tester is in the fight of his political life so he’s trying to flee from his voting record.
