Joe Biden’s standing in the polls continues to worry Democrats.
Democrats now have a new front in their battle to keep Joe Biden in office.
And Democrats are terrified that this Vice-Presidential pick will cost Joe Biden the election.
Democrats to launch scorched earth war on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate
Polls show Robert F. Kennedy is taking more votes from Joe Biden than Donald Trump.
The Biden campaign’s concern only grew after Kennedy announced Silicon Valley lawyer Nicole Shanahan as his running mate.
Now the party’s top operatives are rummaging through Shanahan’s life looking for dirt they can use to smear her with.
James Carville – legendary strategist for Bill Clinton’s 1992 Presidential campaign – is behind the opposition research effort placing calls to Silicon Valley and claiming it would become that she was a “strange person.”
“The tech industry is like Hollywood and there’s all sorts of stuff floating around out there,” Carville said in an interview with Semafor. “I would be totally stunned if she wasn’t a really strange person in the eyes of most people.”
Carlson is a consultant to the SuperPAC American Bridge said the politics of personal destruction the Left planned to wage against Shanahan was merely “vetting” branding her as a “conspiracy theorist,” which is code to liberal voters for being a Trump supporter.
“We’re not going to let his running mate Nicole Shanahan get away with shady behavior or anti-science conspiracy theories, either,” American Bridge President Pat Dennis told Semafor. “Anyone challenging the President in November should be vetted.”
Digging through Shanahan’s personal life
When Kennedy named Shanahan as his running mate, stories resurfaced about Shanahan allegedly having an affair with Elon Musk, which ended her marriage to Google co-founder Sergey Brin.
“Elon Musk engaged in a brief affair last fall with the wife of Sergey Brin, prompting the Google co-founder to file for divorce earlier this year and ending the tech billionaires’ long friendship, according to people familiar with the matter,” the Wall Street Journal reported.
Before Kennedy named her as his running mate, Shanahan wrote in People Magazine that the article alleging she had an affair with Musk nearly destroyed her career.
“I’m not a public person. I speak to the public on issues related to my work, and ideas that I’ve given my time to studying. The article and its aftermath have been a disaster for my work life, my reputation, and my ability to communicate the things I care most deeply about,” Shanahan wrote. “A university where I had just given a lecture on the subject of who should own the intellectual property rights of works generated by Artificial Intelligence removed the video from the internet for fear of harassment. Speaking engagements dried up, one woman claiming she had to defend me in front of a host committee that felt uncomfortable about my representation at the conference.”
Liberals show their cards about this election
Democrats are exceptionally nervous about Joe Biden’s chances of winning.
The Left wouldn’t be using their most accomplished operatives and big money Super PACs to nuke an unknown woman running as the Vice President on a third-party ticket if the situation for Biden wasn’t dire.
