Democrats are imploding in Florida after a series of brutal election cycles.

They simply can’t get out of their own way.

And the Florida Democrat Party was utterly humiliated after they made this bad move for 2024.

Florida Democrats on the brink of extinction

Florida was one of the biggest swing states in the country for decades and was known for nail-biter elections.

The Sunshine State has turned increasingly red under Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Democrats turned in their worst election result in state history during the 2022 Midterm Election.

DeSantis won a landslide victory by nearly 20 points and Republicans rolled up and down the ticket.

For the first time in Florida history, there are no statewide elected Democrats, and the party’s ranks in Congress and the State Legislature have been decimated.

Now the Florida Democrat Party is trying to rebuild after devastating losses under chairwoman Nikki Fried.

Fried – the former Commissioner of Agriculture and the last Democrat to win statewide in 2018 – is trying to switch things up for her party heading into the 2024 Election.

At the Lead Blue 2024 gala, Florida Democrats announced that they were changing the state party’s logo.

Gone was the traditional donkey mascot associated with the Democrat Party and in was the Florida Panther.

“Let me hear you roar, Democrats!” the Florida Democratic Party posted on X. “We gave the donkey the boot as we unveiled our new mascot, the Florida Panther!”

Fried boasted that Florida was in play for the 2024 Election because of a constitutional amendment on the ballot to enshrine abortion-on-demand into the state constitution.

Ridicule poured in after Florida Democrats chose an endangered species to be their new mascot.

Florida Democrats mocked picking a nearly extinct cat as a mascot

The irony of choosing an endangered species was lost on Florida Democrats but not on Republican Party of Florida Chairman Evan Power.

“First, I would like to congratulate Nikki Fried on, by our count, the 28th relaunch of the Florida Democrats under her leadership.” Power said. “The choice in changing your mascot from a donkey to a Florida Panther is particularly fitting with its status as an endangered species.”

Roughly 200 Florida Panthers are left in the wild in the Sunshine State.

“If you come into contact with a Florida Democrat in the wild, whether they identify as a donkey or a panther, we urge you to notify Nikki Fried and her team immediately,” Power added. “They’re far-left policies, such as open borders, high inflation, and surging crime, only risk further collapsing Nikki’s voter registration numbers in the state.”

Democrats had the majority of registered voters by party in Florida since Reconstruction until DeSantis took office.

In 2021, Republicans overtook Democrats in registered voters in the Sunshine State.

And they haven’t looked back since.

Republicans have opened up a lead of more 900,000 registered voters and that number could swell to over one million by Election Day in November.

Florida Democrats will be in the wilderness for years to come after their collapse.
