Joe Biden is trying to ram through as much of his extreme environmental agenda as possible.
Now that he’s about to face the voters, he could pay the price.
And Joe Biden made one big mistake that could cost him everything.
EPA regulations poised to smother American manufacturing
President Joe Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is preparing to wipe out American manufacturing with its most extreme air quality regulation yet.
The EPA issued a new air quality regulation aimed at reducing the amount of fine particulate air pollutants (PM2.5).
EPA Administrator Michael Regan said in January when the regulation was announced that the “final air quality standard will save lives and make all people healthier, especially within America’s most vulnerable and overburdened communities.”
The regulation will prevent “up to 4,500 premature deaths and 290,000 lost workdays, yielding up to $46 billion in net health benefits in 2032,” the EPA claimed.
But this latest salvo from the EPA could destroy nearly a million manufacturing jobs.
National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) President and CEO Jay Timmons warned that American manufacturing is going to be crippled by the rule.
Timmons traveled to the battleground state of Michigan to give a speech on the condition of manufacturing in the country.
“In his State of the Union Address next month, President Biden will probably take credit for what manufacturers have achieved. That’s fair. I know he cares deeply about manufacturing,” Timmons said. “As he often says on the road, ‘This nation used to lead the world in manufacturing, and we’re going to do it again.'”
Say it ain’t so, Joe!
Biden likes to claim he’s “Blue Collar Joe” who cares about the working class, but his extreme environmental agenda is poised to wipe them out.
“But what he won’t tell you is that his federal agencies are, at this very moment, working to undermine his manufacturing legacy — those agencies are undermining your success. In fact, just two weeks ago, they announced one big regulation that could wipe out up to 1 million jobs,” Timmons continued. “It’s referred to as National Ambient Air Quality Standards or PM2.5.”
The standard set by Biden’s EPA is even stricter than regulations imposed by socialist countries in Europe.
“It’s not the name that matters. It’s the consequences. It’s stricter than rules they have even in Europe. And in vast portions of the country, we will barely be able to build new manufacturing facilities as a result,” Timmons warned.
Biden’s path to the White House runs through the Rust Belt in the swing states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
These manufacturing-intensive states are poised to suffer heavy job losses from the EPA’s air quality rule.
“Michigan would be one of the states hit hardest. And if new manufacturing investments dry up, that spills over to the rest of the state economy. It affects the family trying to sell their home, the teacher hoping for new investments in schools, the students looking for job opportunities here in the state,” Timmons explained.
Now Joe Biden’s extreme environmental agenda could cost him a second term in the White House.
