Barack Obama is the unofficial leader of the Democrat Party.

Now, he’s sending his allies to weigh in on the biggest controversy in politics.

And Barack Obama’s right-hand man gave Joe Biden one brutal message that left him fuming.

Barack Obama’s chief strategist says Joe Biden isn’t winning

President Joe Biden is trying to put down a growing revolt in the Democrat Party after his catastrophe at the Presidential debate.

Former President Barack Obama came out in support of Biden after the debate on social media.

But David Axelrod, the former chief strategist for his 2012 Presidential campaign, came out guns blazing during an appearance on CNN’s Inside Politics.

He said that Biden was in denial over the fact he’s “not winning this race” against former President Donald Trump.

“There are certain immutable facts of life, and those were painfully obvious on that debate stage, and the President just doesn’t seem to come to — he hasn’t come to grips with it,” Axelrod said. “He’s not winning this race.”

Axelrod suggested that Biden should drop his re-election campaign.

“If you just look at the data and talk to people around the country, political people around the country, it’s more likely that he’ll lose by a landslide than win narrowly this race,” Axelrod continued. “And if the stakes are as large as he says, and I believe they are, then he really needs to consider what the right thing to do here is.”

He noted that Biden beat the odds before during his long political career, but now he’s in a fight no one can win.

“The one person that no one can outrun is Father Time,” Axelrod said.

David Axelrod has become one of Joe Biden’s biggest critics

Obama has stayed above the fray after the Democrat Party was thrown into crisis after Biden’s debate debacle.

But his allies, like Axelrod and former “Green Jobs Czar” Van Jones, have become some of the most vocal critics of Biden in the media post-debate.

Biden tried to do damage control with his first major interview after the debate with ABC News host George Stephanopoulos.

Axelrod described Biden’s interview as “denial, delusion, and defiance” in a piece for CNN.

“Biden could be excused for wanting to put his awful debate performance in the rearview mirror,” Axelrod wrote. “That was his purpose Friday in sitting down for the interview —  to try and quell the panic that has gripped the Democratic Party.”

He called the President “dangerously out of touch” about the state of play in the election.

“Listening to the interview, he seemed to deny where he is in the race. He seems not to grasp what is the big concern that people have,” Axelrod said.

The 81-year-old President is going to be haunted by the debate for the rest of the campaign.

Axelrod and other Democrats realize that there’s no coming back from that for Biden.

That’s why there’s a battle going on behind the scenes to try to nudge him off the ticket to save the party from disaster this November.
