Democrats are giddy about the possibility of Alvin Bragg’s criminal case bringing down Donald Trump.
But this scheme might not turn out like they hoped.
And Byron Donalds made one prediction about the Trump trial that left Democrats fuming.
Democrats hoping that Donald Trump’s trial changes the trajectory of the election
Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg became the first – and possibly the only – Democrat prosecutor to put former President Donald Trump before the 2024 Election.
Trump is facing 34 felonies for falsifying business records in a case so outrageous that the hacks at the Biden Justice Department wouldn’t touch it.
President Joe Biden has been struggling in the polls and the Trump case was seen as good news for his political prospects.
Democrats and their media allies were celebrating the possibility of Trump being in the courtroom doing serious political damage to his campaign.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham noted that the media was joyous and treated the start of the Trump trial like the Super Bowl or the Oscars.
Byron Donalds says voters will see through the New York trial
Representative Byron Donalds (R-FL) appeared on The Ingraham Angle where he was asked if the bogus trial would have its intended effect of blunting Trump’s momentum in the campaign.
“I think the impact of these trials is going to be the same impact from the indictments,” Donalds said. “People are going to look at this and say why are the Democrats, Joe Biden, and these crazy DAs wasting our time with these stupid trials. Why are the media networks fawning over this coverage left and right while the country is a mess, inflation has skyrocketed, and the world is on fire.”
Democrats are banking on the Trump trial being a distraction from the numerous problems in the U.S. and around the world under Biden.
“Joe Biden is the one who is the master of disaster,” Donalds continued. “Joe Biden is the one who has led America to its weakest point in more than 40 years. And for you guys to want to focus on Donald Trump as if he’s the problem, that is ridiculous because when he was President, America was significantly better off. It’s going to backfire this November.”
Democrats and the media predicted doom for Trump when Democrat prosecutors hit him with four criminal indictments last year.
Instead, his poll numbers went up after the indictments.
Trump is now polling better against Biden than at any point during the 2020 Election cycle.
Biden can’t run on his record this year and his allies want to do everything possible to distract the public’s attention from it.
But voters can’t compare how their lives were under the two candidate’s Presidencies.
A recent New York Times/Siena poll found that more voters have a positive view of Trump’s Presidency than Biden’s.
42% said that Trump’s Presidency was “mostly good” for America while only 25% said the same about Biden.
In the end, Joe Biden won’t be able to hide his dismal record from voters.
