James Carville is one of the elder statesmen of the Democrat Party.

When he speaks, everyone takes notice.

And James Carville dropped one hint about Joe Biden’s future that had all hell breaking loose.

James Carville says that Joe Biden could be replaced

Democrats have thrown everything but the kitchen sink at former President Donald Trump since the 2020 Election.

But criminal cases, civil lawsuits, and media hoaxes haven’t put a dent in the former President.

Trump is now polling better against President Joe Biden than at any point during the 2020 Election.

Biden is hemorrhaging key parts of the Democrat base, like youth and the black vote, according to polling.

The warning signs are flash red for the Democrat Party for the deeply unpopular President’s re-election chances.

Veteran Democrat Strategist James Carville has been sounding the alarm about Biden and his party’s electoral problems for months.

A May New York Times/Siena College poll found Trump leading in five of the swing states that will decide the election.

Carville said on the Politics War Room podcast that if Biden struggles in the June 27 CNN debate and continues to lag in the polls, Democrats would face some tough decisions.

He explained that Biden would probably be the Democrat nominee, but his struggles wouldn’t close the door of him being replaced.

“I got to tell you, there’s, I don’t say panic, but there is real, real unease in the party,” Carville said. “And you know, sometimes you go years with nothing happening, and then you go weeks with everything happening.”

He suggested that Biden could get the boot if his struggles continue.

“It’s politics. Anything can happen. Don’t discount it,” Carville said.

Concerns grow among Democrats about Joe Biden’s re-election chances

Carville was a top strategist for former President Bill Clinton’s victory in the 1992 Presidential election.

The 79-year-old Democrat insider raised eyebrows when he suggested it was possible that Biden could be replaced.

Biden faced a whisper campaign about having the plug pulled on his re-election campaign before Democrats better than expected performance in the 2022 Midterm Elections.

Now, one of the elder statesmen of the party is willing to publicly speculate that the President could be replaced.

Democrat polling guru Nate Silver said that Biden should drop out of the race by the Democratic National Convention in August if it looks like he’s going down to defeat.

“If Biden is still struggling in August he needs to consider stepping aside,” Silver wrote on X. “It’s not a great situation for Ds either way, but you have to do due diligence on the question. It’s an important election, obviously. It shouldn’t be taboo to talk about.”

Silver said that Biden only calling for two debates with Trump was a “bad sign” for his campaign.

“Usually when you are behind in an election, and Biden is behind right now in the large majority of swing state polls, you want more uncertainty,” Silver said. “You want more variance. Meaning that you should want more debates because they add more volatility to the election. And instead, Biden wants fewer. That to me is a really, really, really, really bad sign for his campaign.”

Democrats are on edge with Joe Biden seemingly unable to turn around his struggling campaign.
