Vulnerable Montana Democrat trying to fool voters 

U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) is the most vulnerable Senate Democrat running for re-election this year.

First elected in the “Blue Wave” of 2006, he’s been a down-the-line vote for former President Barack Obama and President Joe Biden’s extreme agenda.

Tester is the last statewide elected Democrat in Montana, which has become increasingly Republican.

Former President Donald Trump won the state in the 2016 and 2020 Elections by more than 16 points.

Tester has been able to fool Montana voters by developing a phony persona as a salt-of-the-earth farmer who’s working across party lines to fight for rural America.

He sports a signature flat-top haircut and boasts about a third-generation Montana dirt farmer who lost three fingers working a butcher shop as a kid. 

This carefully crafted persona as a Montana farmer hides the fact that he’s a wealthy Washington, D.C. insider who took more money from anyone in the Senate from lobbyists last year.

Montana Senator caught driving a Toyota Prius in Washington, D.C.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) – the campaign arm for Senate Republicans – caught Tester getting into a red Toyota Prius – a favorite of hippies and environmental activists – at the Capitol Building’s parking entrance.

Tester admitted in his 2020 memoir that he bought a used Prius to drive in Washington, D.C.

“There aren’t a lot of dirt farmers in Montana who drive a Prius. Jon Tester has gone Washington,” NRSC spokeswoman Maggie Abboud said in a statement.

Tester flew off the handle after the fact that he owns a Prius was broadcasted everywhere in an election year.

“I have a Prius that I drive around this town. You want to know what I drive in Montana?” Tester raged. “I’ve got an ‘86 Chevy. I got a 2018 GMC. I got a 2018 Honda Ridgeline. I’ve got a Celica. I’ve got a Peterbilt. I’ve got a ‘67 International Truck. I’ve got a ‘96 International Truck. I’ve got a ‘78 GMC truck. Want me to keep going?”

He continued his rant by oddly boasting about using diesel in an attempt to prove that he’s not an environmental activist.

“If [Republicans] want to talk about how much gas we use, maybe they should pay the diesel bill,” Tester ranted. “I’m going to spend $10,000 this week on diesel filling the bulk tank that I use for my crop digger. Does that make it OK now?”

But he didn’t help himself with his impromptu rant.

“It says a lot about swamp creature Jon Tester that his only defense for driving a Prius is that he owns at least eight additional cars,” Abboud said. “A lot of people are now wondering how many cars multimillionaire career politician Jon Tester owns.”
