Special Counsel Jack Smith has been racing to get his criminal cases against former President Donald Trump to start as soon as possible.

His mission is to tie down Trump in a courtroom to keep him off of the campaign trail during the height of the election.

And a criminal conviction against the former President in the January 6 case could be the ace in the hole to save President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign.

The Supreme Court took up Trump’s claim of Presidential immunity from the January 6 case, which could shut it down.

During oral arguments, it became clear that many of the Justices were skeptical of a lower court ruling that found Trump had no claim to any Presidential immunity.

Democrats are angry that the high court has thrown off Smith’s timeline of starting the January 6 trial.

Now it appears possible the court could hand down a ruling that would postpone the case until after the November election.

That would scramble the Democrats’ scheme of using lawfare to win the 2024 Election.

Failed 2016 Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton used an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to lash out at the Supreme Court for not ruling on Trump’s Presidential immunity claim on her preferred political timetable.

“Justice delayed is justice denied, and the people in our country, it looks as though, will most likely go to vote without knowing the outcome of these other serious trials,” Clinton ranted.

Democrats were also dealt setbacks when Smith’s classified documents case in Florida was postponed indefinitely by the Judge to work through pre-trial motions and a Georgia appeals court agreed to review the disqualification of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

“And the one that is going on now currently in New York is really about election interference,” Clinton raged. “It is about trying to prevent the people of our country from having relevant information that may have influenced how they could have voted in 2016 or whether they would have voted.”

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg claims that Trump interfered in the 2016 election because of how a payment to Stormy Daniels as part of a nondisclosure agreement was recorded as an accounting entry.

But the alleged accounting error took place after the election.

Clinton claimed that the Supreme Court was doing a “grave disservice” to the country by not issuing a ruling on the Presidential immunity claim sooner.

“I read the excellent decision by the court of appeals,” Clinton ranted. “The Judges there, I think, covered every possible argument.”

The ruling by the appeals court in Trump’s Presidential immunity claim would mean that former Presidents have no legal protection for their actions in office.
