Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley are running neck-and-neck for second place heading into the final stretch before the Iowa Caucus.

But DeSantis just enlisted an ally to help his campaign expose Nikki Haley’s counterfeit conservatism to Iowa caucus goers.

And Nikki Haley hit the panic button when she saw this South Carolina Senator in Iowa campaigning for Ron DeSantis.

In the home stretch in Iowa

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley are set to square off in a debate at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa on January 10.

Hosted by CNN, the one-on-one debate will take place just five days before the Iowa Caucus.

On January 21, the two will square off for a second debate at New England College in New Hampshire on January 21.

DeSantis and Haley will both spend the majority of their time over the next two weeks on the ground in Iowa and New Hampshire.

With Nikki Haley’s recent surge in the polls, DeSantis invited a few of his surrogates to campaign with him in Iowa.

One of those surrogates is from Nikki Haley’s home state of South Carolina.

DeSantis surrogate rips Haley as a RINO

South Carolina State Senator Josh Kimbrell is heading to Iowa to expose Nikki Haley’s counterfeit conservatism to caucus goers.

“South Carolina state Sen. Josh Kimbrell, a deeply conservative lawmaker who has pushed a legislative agenda in his state similar to contentious laws championed by DeSantis in Florida, will join the Republican governor for stops in Iowa on Thursday and Friday, where he intends to share a perspective from the Palmetto State on its former leader,” CNN reported.

Kimbrell was elected to the South Carolina State Senate in 2020, three years after Haley left office in January of 2017.

In the State Senate, Kimbrell has earned a reputation for his refusal to back down and his willingness to stand and fight for conservative values.

He’s introduced legislation to outlaw transgender surgeries for minor children, ban abortion after six weeks, and prohibit state pension investments based on the Left’s woke Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) standards.

Kimbrell ripped Haley as a politician with no principles who will say or do whatever to get elected.

“I know Governor Haley, and I have no personal ill will against her, but I can’t point to any significant conservative accomplishment in her tenure as Governor and I have found it difficult to nail down where she stands on positions,” Kimbrell said. “I know what she actually did versus what she said she did.”

“I’m concerned about her inconsistencies in policies,” he added.

Haley attempted to downplay the significance of a Senator from her state traveling to Iowa to warn voters of her “inconsistencies” and lack of accomplishments.

“Here’s a quick refresher: Nikki is a conservative outsider who took on the establishment to put votes on the record,” Haley campaign spokeswoman Nachama Soloveichik said. “It’s sad to see Ron DeSantis stooping to such desperate, lame attacks, but nothing will save his dying campaign.”

Of course, Kimbrell is right about Nikki Haley and her record proves it.

Haley is a RINO who represents the George Bush/Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan wing of the Republican Party.

She believes in unlimited immigration and supports a blank check for Joe Biden’s war in Ukraine.

Haley is also pro-abortion, opposes a ban on sex change operations for minors, and even fought against a bill to keep men out of the women’s bathroom.

And Senator Kimbrell is on his way to Iowa to sound the alarm about Nikki Haley’s record.
